Changes in wktools Version 3.3.1.0

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\wktools\Settings\Updater

1.2 Configure Devices enhancements

The new tag !LOG is introduced. Place this tag in the config file one line before a command for which you want to have the returning data logged into a file. It works like "show" output but you do not need show.

Changes in wktools Version 3.3.0.0

1) New Tool

The new tool "Interface Parser" added to Device Information Parser. This tool parses the output of "show interfaces" and builds a table of errors and statistics. Please see documentation for more information.

2) New features

2.1 Version reminder

Wktools3 now checkes if there is a newer version available for download. It establishes a http session to www.spoerr.org and downloads a file with the version information. No other information is exchanged and all traffic is unencrypted.

2.2 IP List tool enhancements

the output of IP list now includes the filename and Interface name from where the IP address is collected. This information is ignored when using the generated list with "Configure devices".

2.3 Device Information parser

Two new options added to the inventory parser:

3) Bug Fixes

3.1 Configmaker

The state of the "Append" checkbox was not saved after closing the application. This problem is fixed now.

3.2 IP List

If there are secondary IP addresses configured at the interface, the first one was added to the list because the secondary IP addresses are listed before the primary one. Now there is a check that only the primary IP address is used for the list.

If there is no "show inventory" information for Catalyst switches, the submodule information was not collected.

The software version is now captured additionally to the IOS image.

2) Bug Fixes in Device Information Parser

Sometimes wktools crashes after parsing Cat6k output when there is no "show inventory" information. This problem is resolved.

3) Bug Fixes in Configure Devices

No return value is sen t when [confirm] is prompted by the router. Now "yes" is sent when this prompt is returned by the device.

Changes in wktools Version 3.2.0.0

1) First official Release

Since the problem with the crash in "Configure Devices" is found, this is the first official release. There are no enhancements, only bug-fixes compared to 3.1.

2) Resolved Login Problems

When a login banner is included to IOS devices it may occur, that the Username/Password prompt is different to the default one -> Username: does not include a SPACE at the end. The default is that there is always a SPACE behind the colon (":"). Before this version there was never sent a username/password if there is no SPACE after the colon.

3) Documentation updated

I did some minor updates on the documentation. It includes ducu bugs and enhancements.

4) Messages updated

Some messages in the event window were in german. They are now in english.

Changes in wktools Version 3.1.17.0

1) cl32.dll (Cryptlib) was rebuilt

In the past, cl32.dll was built with a different MS VS Version than wktools itself. The problem here was, that cl32.dll used a different C-Runtime library than wktools. With this step, cl32.dll now uses the same libs as wktools and these libs should be available on every standard windows installation. The formerly used "msvcr71.dll" is no more needed.

Changes in wktools Version 3.1.16.0

1) .NET Framework detection routine added.

This is needed to detect if .NET Framework is installed. If this is not the case, the application will display an error message at startup. The program will still be startable. The main reason of this addition is that without .NET Framework, wktools3 will crash under rare conditions.
